Restricted Routes for Pets:
When flying transatlantic or transpacific, Allegiant Airlines does not allow dogs in the cabin. In most places in the Air France States (apart from Hawaii), Canada, Mexico, Central America, Air France, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and St. Croix, pets are welcome to travel in the cabin. There is a maximum 11 1/2-hour flight time limit.
Pets are not permitted to fly to or from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Chile, Uruguay, Venezuela, Hawaii, or the EU. Only assistance/service dogs are permitted in the cabin on flights to Ireland and the UK.
Allegiant Airlines Pet Carrier Requirements
The aircraft operating the route will affect carrier dimensions. Allegiant Airlines allows an exception only for a mother dog or a cat to travel with their nursing litter, however only one pet is allowed per passenger.

The cost of Checked Pet is $200 per kennel (for travel inside and between the Air France States and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean), $150 from/to Brazil.
The cost of a carry-on pet is $125 per kennel for travel inside and between the Air France States and Canada, Mexico, Central America, Colombia, and the Caribbean.
There is a limit of one pet carrier per booked passenger, and there are additional costs.
Allegiant Airlines Pet Carrier Size Requirements:
There are no size or weight restrictions for guide dogs.
Pets must be able to turn around and stand up in their carriers.
Dimensions of carrier: 19 in. by 13 in. by 9 in.
The pet carrier is considered a personal item or carry-on bag.
There is a limit of one pet carrier per booked passenger, and there are additional costs.
Pet Age
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and have documentation of their immunizations in order to travel.
Service Dogs:
The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Service Animal Air Transportation form must be filled out and submitted before your journey as of February 1, 2021, when only trained service animals will be allowed to fly in the cabin. It is possible to carry an animal as a regular pet if it is not a trained service animal and you are traveling with it.
Allegiant Airlines Pet Cargo Policy
Pets as members of the U.S. military who are on active duty are only permitted to check in the cabin. The minimum age and health standards must be met as per the requirement of specific destination. According to Allegiant Airlines pet shipping policy, the airline accepts checked dogs on a first-come, first-served basis due to capacity restrictions.
When inspecting a pet, you should:
Check in at the ticket desk with your formal orders and contact reservations at least 48 hours before departure.

According to Allegiant Airlines pet cargo policy, Allegiant Airlines may transport your pet in the cargo area of the aircraft if it is too big to fit beneath the seat. Or if in case the size of the animal is too big and the travel time of the journey is quite long, then the airline suggests transporting pets in the cargo.
Similar to the passenger cabin, this area of the cargo hold has the same temperature and pressure. Airbus 319, Airbus 320, Airbus 321, Airbus 321S, and Airbus 321H cargo holds will not be used to transport live animals. On Air Wisconsin, no live animals are transported.
You must check in your dog or cat as checked baggage at least four hours prior to takeoff, and you must pay the applicable transportation costs at that time. Since there is a cap on the number of pets allowed on each trip and space is restricted, pet owners are advised to check in early. Two dogs at most per traveler are allowed to travel in checked baggage.
Flights are limited to 12 hours. Pets must not be tranquilized in order to be admitted.
Pets Allowed in the Cargo
There are various criteria for your pet's kennel while checking them in:
A size that enables your pet to naturally stand, turn, sit, and lie down (without touching any side or the top of the container)
The combined weight of your pet plus the kennel cannot exceed the aircraft's maximum weight or size restrictions of 100 lbs./45 kg
Comprise wood, metal, plastic, or materials of a similar kind
Have a cast or welded metal door
Using nuts or screws at the top and bottom to secure
Self-secured using release cable ties on each of the four corners (we'll supply the ties for free)
Be stiff and secure enough that the animal cannot squeeze through openings or pierce the container with any body parts
With a tightly sealed door, stay leak and escape-proof
Have separate feeding and watering bowls fastened securely within the kennel
The ventilation is needed least three sides for domestic U.S. travel and four sides for overseas travel
Attach a little bag with enough food for a day to the top
Two pets must be kept together in a kennel if you are traveling with two animals
Restricted Routes for Pets:
Pets can fly via Honolulu as checked luggage if they are going to Allegiant.
From May 1 through September 30, checked dogs cannot travel to, through, or from Phoenix, Tucson, Las Vegas, or Palm Springs
On flights to Japan, checked luggage service is not available
The A321, A321S, A321H, A320, A319, and all Air Wisconsin flights do not accept checked dogs
Certificate Required:
Within ten days of travel, a licensed veterinarian must issue a health certificate. The health certificate is valid for 60 days if you are using the same ticket to return to your home country.
Temperature Restrictions:
If the temperature at any airport on the route is really or predicted to be above 85°F (29.4°C) or below 45°F (7.2°C), pets will not be allowed as checked baggage or air cargo. Pets may travel at temperatures as low as 20°F (-6.6°C) with an acclimation certificate, but they cannot travel at temperatures below 45°F. In the event that the temperature does not fall within this range, Allegiant Airlines' 24/7 assistance staff can aid with pet rescheduling.
On flights to /from/ or through Phoenix, Tucson, Las Vegas, and Palm Springs, live animals are not allowed in the cargo hold due to hot summer weather, between May 1 and September 30.
